Delivery, Returns and Exchange Policy

Delivery

We want each order to reach you as quickly as possible. These are general guidelines which may differ during busier periods. Please let us know if your order is urgent and we will do our best to meet your deadlines.

Note: this policy relates to delivery times only. These times exclude the time required to make your beautiful handmade product. Chalk takes 2 days to cure.

  • Our delivery partners for standard and express delivery are Australia Post (standard and express) and Sendle (standard)

  • There is a small standard delivery charge of $12.20 Australia wide. Free shipping (additional for express) for orders over $90. Free express shipping for orders over $150.

  • Currently, we are not posting to outside of Australia, but be sure to let us know your interest and we can look to provide this service in the future

 

Delivery Times (excluding time to make chalk): 

  • General: 2-3 business days (i.e. excluding weekends and Australian public holidays)

  • Express: Within 24 hours if ordered prior to 9am

Whilst we make every effort to deliver by the estimated time frame, all dates specified are estimates only. We have aligned ourselves with transport partners who we believe will always do their best to deliver products by the estimated delivery date. We can’t be held liable for loss or damage resulting from late delivery but we will do our best to help you in these circumstances.

Delivery Confirmation

  • We usually notify you of the status of your order within 24hrs (next business day), to let you know how your order is progressing, or when it has been shipped. In cases where we have run out of a particular item, we will contact you by email or phone as soon as possible to discuss your order if we cannot dispatch the item to you within 7 days.

  • Our delivery partner will provide details of estimate delivery date etc.

Returns and Exchanges

  • We only replace items if they are damaged i.e broken on arrival. Due to the handmade nature of chalk, there may be bubbles in the chalk or discolouring in certain spots. This is the nature of the product and is to be expected. It is what makes the product special and unique!

  • I will gladly accept returns and exchanges:

    • Contact me within: 14 days of delivery

    • Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery

  • Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns or exchanges for:

    • Custom or personalised orders

    • Items on sale

  • I don't accept cancellations but please contact me if you have any problems with your order​

  • Conditions of return or exchange: 

    • Buyers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

    • If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

    • If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

  • If you need to refund or exchange your purchase, please send us an email at yoursinchalk@gmail.com and we will endeavour to work with you to resolve the problem.

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds:

  • If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at yoursinchalk@gmail.com.
